2025 NECPA STATEWIDE CONVENING - View Conference Details
- Join the NECPA on July 15, 2025, at UNL’s East Campus for this wonderful opportunity to network and learn with our members, community coalition partners, and prevention professionals from across the state. This event is FREE for NECPA member representatives. Registration opens on April 1st!

- The NECPA is thrilled to announce that its 'Make it About You' social media campaign has been recognized with two prestigious awards for excellence in marketing and communication. Developed in partnership with Epicosity, the campaign received the MarCom Platinum Award, the highest honor from the international creative competition recognizing outstanding achievements in marketing and communication. Additionally, the campaign earned a Silver ADDY in the Public Service category at this year’s South Dakota Ad Federation Awards. JOIN THE NECPA
The NECPA Currently includes 26 institutions of higher education in Nebraska, including private and public colleges and universities as well as community colleges and proprietary colleges. NECPA members use strategic and comprehensive environmental approaches to reduce high-risk drinking and the negative effects of excessive alcohol use. The only criterion for membership is the written commitment of the top administrator to support his/her personnel in efforts to reduce high-risk drinking among the institutionʼs students.

Funding Acknowledgements
The Omaha Collegiate Consortium (OCC) is a subset of the NECPA and is funded 100% through Region 6 from the Substance Abuse & Treatment Block Grant (93.959) contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the CFDA, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and Center of Substance Use Treatment. The OCC received an award of $115,770 for the funding period 07/01/2024 - 06/30/2025.
The NECPA is funded 17% by the Strategic Prevention Framework- Partnerships for Success grant (5H79SP083671-02) through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health. The NECPA received a sub-award of $50,000 for the funding period 10/01/2024 - 09/30/2025 through the Nebraska Department of Health and Services (DHHS), Division of Behavioral Health.
The NECPA is funded 77% by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), contracted through the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Office. The NECPA received a sub-award of $225,000 for the funding period 10/01/2024 - 09/30/2025.
The NECPA is funded 6% by the Strategic Prevention Framework- Partnerships for Success grant (5H79SP083671-02) through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, contracted through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Region 5. The NECPA received a sub-award of $17,514 for the funding period 10/01/2024 - 09/30/2025 through the Nebraska Department of Health and Services (DHHS), Division of Behavioral Health and Region 5.
